We discovered this restaurant a few weeks ago traveling south, but it was out of season and closed mid week. On our return we pre-booked for Saturday night. We are so glad we did as the place was full, mostly with regulars. We both chose to eat from the specials board. A three course meal for €16. Excellent food with very friendly staff. Good wine and coffee. What more does one need? We will certainly go there again. View all feedback.
What Caroline A doesn't like about Auberge Le Cheval Blanc:
We had driven past this restaurant for years, and finally got around to visiting. It looks very welcoming from the outside. Inside is homely, historic and comfortable. The host is very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Those are the good things. In our opinion the food was mediocre at best. Amazing value inventive cuisine in oldy world setting. Nice Friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Shame we don't live closer. Thanks to the team.
A small, quiet restaurant where you can eat quality traditional cuisine.
Welcoming waitress and attentive staff. No more salad as a starter, I choose the puff pastry sausage. We order the raspberry tart right away because I don't like the other desserts, sorry they are already reserved. 5 minutes later, sorry, he no longer has flaky sausage, vegetable soup or beetroot mousse with goat's cheese. Wow, what a dilemma, soup for lunch meh, I'm not crazy about beetroot, I have it anyway and it tastes good. The duck andouillette is served cut in two lengthwise without its skin, well grilled, original and very good although a little salty. No dessert, too bad, I don't really like going out hungry.
