What User likes about Pioneer Chicken:
I used to work at PTO 124 in Artesia, CA from 1983 to 1987. Unfortunately, it closed a few years later. However, I never grew tired of eating there because the menu offered a wide variety of choices. I still visit this PTO a few times a month, as the 20-minute drive is well worth it. The customer service is exceptional and the restaurant is always well-maintained. What a blast from the past! They had all the classics that I remember, but the bread was different, more like a tempura batter. The chicken combo and wings were both delicious and the fries were crispy. The meat seemed a bit greasy and the ribs were perfect. It was nice to revisit this place after forty years, and I will definitely come back again in another forty. View all feedback.
