You WILL get your automobile stolen OR broken into....and the OWNER/MANAGER of Area 77 DOES NOT CARE IF IT HAPPENS TO YOU!!!!!! This place is a perfect setup for the widespread and well-known robbery bandits that operate at truck stops in Spain. Area 77 has a large parking area where your automobile WILL be subject to the band of thieves that work Area 77 and many, many other truck stops in the region. Additionally, inside the restaurant (comidor) there are no windows or other visibility methods to make sure your automobile is safe and secure while you are eating. We ate at Area 77 on Saturday, December 10th at around 3 p.m. and were in the comidor area for no more than 45 minutes....more than enough time for thieves to break into our car and steal all of our suitcases and bags. Upon seeing our car had been broken into and our items had been robbed, I went BACK into the restaurant to report this to the manager (or to someone who looked like a manager) and, once again, HE DID NOT CARE and when I asked if there were cameras in the parking lot or on the premises, he said No . What kind of large restaurant does NOT have cameras in any area of its premises?!?!?!?! Again, I repeat: DO NOT EAT AT AREA 77.....OR STOP THERE FOR EVEN A SECOND!!!!. It is NOT safe !!!!! Oh, and by the way....the food from the menu de dia that we ate made my wife violently ill.

This is a superb find Spacious restaurant, well laid out, very helpful staff, carrying your tray to a spotless table. Superb value for money, this will become our regular break in future trips.

The food is Spanish tradi... read more This is one of the best motorway restaurants I have visited. Anytime we travel this motorway we make our plans to stop here for lunch. The food is Spanish traditional, home made and very good quality. A varied menu for just over $10 with many choices. On top of that the staff is so nice and helpful always happy to help with trays, coffee or children’s menu choices. The place is spacious and clean, with good air con very much needed in the summer! Very highly recommended if you plan to travel this motorway!
