Food was excellent...service was a little slow as it filled up...but not annoyingly. The starter salad was as good as I have had, the pizza tasted delicious and was more than generous in size. The desserts were simple but really nice. Go to this place you will not be disappointed. View all feedback.

The salad was copious and mediocre. The pizza was made of cardboard and loaded with cheap ingredients. To our surprise the pizza bathed in oil and we were served a bottle of pizza-oil in case such wasn’t enough. Service is friendly and adequate. In case you appreciate a generously oiled pizza and mediocre French cuisine of the cheapo-style: go ahead. Otherwise La Toscane is a never-come-back show.
For the benefit of those Brits who have not been humiliated enough, I give you La Toscana, about as far removed from anything resembling Italy as Berlusconi 's naturally dark hair. First carbonara was served on top of a pizza, a first and a spicy pizza was offered with curry flavouring as opposed to some sort of pepperoni ? The real Italian experience was when I asked for an espresso to be told in France Monsieur we call this un cafe how Italian. Avoid if looking for Italian food in France!
This one 's on our mustn 't miss list whenever holidaying in the area. Fantastic fixed price Pizza menu (Starter/Pizza of choice/Dessert , or the option of non pizza specials if preferred. Pizzas here are as good as anywhere (well, probably better than elsewhere actually! being generously topped and all but too large to eat in one sitting. Kids Pizzas prepared as smiley faces and delivered with commendable speed. A highlight for dessert is Le Colonel lemon sorbet served in a glass topped with Vodka just make sure you 're not driving! This place can get busy, so I 'd suggest you aim to arrive early (or book in advance!
