I tried to lower my star rating on this as I am pretty sure the place doesn't exist so I'm trying again... I checked this road for any sign of a tea/coffee shop and it's not there. I checked in beforehand since I thought I would make it but unfortunately it was a lie. Sad day for this tea drinker. Oh well. View all feedback.

If you haven't made a trip to Gardiner Maine, you owe it to yourself. Close to Augusta, this town boasts a beautiful downtown with great restaurants and shops. The newest kid on the block is Baxter Tea Company at 289 Water Street. Located in a historic brick building, the space is full of light. A perfect place to gather for tea parties, cribbage tournaments, knitting circles, book club, or just a coffee or tea while using their free WiFi. The owner is incredibly friendly and well versed in the teas and coffees that she offers. My favorite is the Jamaican Me Crazy coffee--great way to start your day! They also feature Lake Champlain Hot Chocolate--yum! If you want to enjoy some of their tea or coffee at home, both are available for sale at the store or online at [hidden link] Not only does Lisa, the owner, serve up a darn good cup of tea, she also donates 10% of all loose leaf tea sales to Baxter State Park. Finally, Baxter Tea Company always has mouth-watering locally made baked treats like cupcakes and scones. What's not to love?!
