Patatas - Belgrade

I recently spoke with an employee who confirmed that all the sauces at this restaurant are mayonnaise-based, as expected. I inquired about plant-based mayo, but was informed that they have never offered it and the employee was unaware of its existence. Despite this, the employee was polite, experienced, and confident in their response. This information was updated as of February 24, 2022.

We bought two medium orders of fries for about £5, which was excellent value for money, as the portions were very generous. The fries were tasty and I would definitely recommend them.

The staff at Patatas are experts when it comes to French fries. During our time in Belgrade, my partner and I frequented this affordable spot, sometimes dining there five days in a row for what we called "fry dinner." The staff, especially Dean, are exceptional in every way, always wearing a warm smile. One dark evening while walking in the rain, Dean noticed us after we had checked out of our stay in Novi Sad. His hospitality, friendliness, generous portions, and attention to detail left us incredibly impressed. Some may think fries are plain and unexciting compared to other meals, or only for desperate vegans, but at Patatas, they would be mistaken.

French fries themselves was really good, not too oily, but like a house made snack. Sad I couldn't add sauces, I'm not sure each of them was vegan. Updated by previous review on 2022-11-02

No more vegan sauces. Just ketchup. Vegan pesto is set. Fries are also made in the same oil as deep friend chicken.
