Incredible vegan choices, delicious coffee, and a trendy ambiance: there is so much to love about this restaurant! It is the only place in Belfast where I could order avocado toast and leave completely satisfied. Topped with dukkah and served with a side of mango and chili chutney, it was probably the best vegan brunch I have ever experienced. While it was a bit pricey, the quality definitely matched the cost. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about District Ormeau Rd:
I visited the restaurant near the botanical gardens and tried one of their two vegan breakfast options, the avocado sourdough toast. It was very tasty and filling. The water station had a funky design, which I found amusing. View all feedback.
Quite a nice new coffee house with lunch, traybakes and what they have. his post 2010 norm for coffee shops: woodwork on the walls and a deli style spin on the lunch menu. There are a few veggie and vegan offers, I have the frit that tasted like a big falafel with a bohnen chili, kimchi and a poached ei on the top, which was quite good, and certainly has to have more a wrap than a panngeini. ok price wise, visited when indigo over the summer scraped the sale of food, which is a bit strange decision to my mind.
There's no shortage of coffee in stranmillis. District doesn't offer anything very different, but it's certainly no mom-and-pop type cafe and gives the impression of upward mobility. There are a good few tables for the space. All in all, it's good but nothing too special.
Had a gorgeous brunch of sourdough toast, avocado, dukkah and chilli-mango chutney at District today (Wednesday, 19 April 2017). Fantastic to see so many vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu including breakfasts served until 3pm, soups, sandwiches, salads, quiche and dahl. Non-dairy milks are available for coffees including soy, almond and oat for a 20p surcharge. Service is via order/ pay at the counter then grab a table and wait for staff to bring your food to you. This is a small cafe/ deli with limited seating which is a bit of a drawback, however there are some tables outside as well. Food was delicious and reasonably priced with the only disappointment being the Americano coffee which was bitter and too strong. I will definitely return to District for food but shall skip the coffee next time and opt for a cold drink instead.
A decent selection of sweet treats! Would you visit again!
Amazing vegan options, great coffee, cool atmosphere: there is nothing to like in this place! The only place in Belfast where I could satisfy my desire for avocado on toast and boy has delivered it! Topped with Dukkah and with a side that helps from Mango and Chili Chutney, it is probably the best vegan brunch I ever had. It was an expensive matter, but you get what you pay!
