Contribute FeedbackThe Chelsea restaurant in South Belfast offers a reasonable menu with pleasant food, however, some patrons have reported subpar service experiences. Some customers felt the atmosphere lacked festivity, while others praised the service and atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff have been described as attentive and the food as delicious. Overall, it seems The Chelsea offers a mixed experience for diners, with some enjoying the ambiance and delicious meals, while others have been disappointed by the service.
Atmospheric classic place! stylish. excellent eating, beautifully presented and fast service. the waiting staff was so professional, especially beth, who was so knowledgeable! highly recommended.
As a few local businessmen we decided to have an early dinner, and the chelsea was close, so we gave it a try. the menu was reasonable as the prices, but eating itself was very common. it was enough and we could get what we did. at the entry to the chelsea we were stopped and asked for our covid passports from a scarf looking doorman who had a female employee who was also scarf and also not in agreement with the dress code of the clientel in the did they reminded me of homeless. the date was December 17th, and it was remarkable that there was no atmosphere or festive joy. after our meal we had a drink at the bar with some friends, but that was unpleasant and we stayed for one. pure orange was poured out of a large karton and the only vodka they had served had a name I've never heard of. the workers were more interested in making cocktails and cracking glasses on the theke than to serve us and they were not very pleasant. I would think twice to go back to the chelsea for a drink that I felt underestimated by the young and inexperienced employees who employ them.
Weird. A smallish bar with a strange crowd who turned the volume up to eleven even though the place wasn't full. Very good wine in fairness, but typical Belfast in that the cocktails are pretty much bereft of alcohol, so you end up paying for an expensive fruit cocktail. Nice staff though.
Very impressive venue for drinks and food. Some splendid cocktails and the nachos were awesome. Highly recommended.
Very rude and ignorant staff. I spoke to the manager about the barman with the curly hair and his rudeness and he responded with “I’d say he is just tired and very busy” we were 2 of 6 people in the bar so he definitely wasn’t busy. This was just before the Bruce Springsteen crowd came in.
