This restaurant is full of fascinating ice hockey history and local ice hockey fame. If you want a drink, this place is great, but if you're looking for a pre-game party for a Belfast Giants match, this is the place to be! The staff is fantastic, and there is a never-ending display of jerseys, tickets, and other hockey memorabilia to make you feel right at home. Considering this is meant to be a sports bar it is seriously lacking in atmosphere. I’d of expected a large screen tv with some sort of sport on. Instead there was dance music playing and the place was absolutely freezing. Even the staff behind the...bar were pulling their cardigans tight around them and shivering. Fantastic bar, owner very friendly, ex hockey player and has plenty of memorabilia from UK and worldwide. Nice atmosphere
Went to Rockies for some pre- and post-game drinks and would recommend for any hockey fan. Loads of memorabilia both British and across the pond, lovely friendly owner (who was on the door when we went) and reasonable drinks prices.
I have been coming to the Rockies since 2009 when I first started going to see the Belfast Giants. It is a great place for pre and post match drinks and always has a great atmosphere, is a good place to watch sport and has an excellent selection of beers. The owner is always at the door to greet the customers, you don't see this anyehere else in Belfast. As always I am looking forward to my next visit.
Good spot to get caught up in the atmosphere of a pending hockey match! Average prices for drinks which is good considering it's in a complex.
I've never been made feel so unwelcome in my life myself my daughter and friend went in tonight to have a drink before cinema the bar man was so rude he didn't want to serve us a drink cause he said he was closing when the game was over which he pointed to TV . We asked was there any were else he said we could have a drink but had a half hour to drink it we said that was fine so he was so rude serving us didn't even say thank you we were made so uncomfortable he went round turning everything off turned 4 other people away BAD Customer service only we had paid for our drink we would have walked out. Will never be back sooo bad manners and worse customer service maybe send that barman to a world host training day he could learn so much. Worst place ever
