While exploring Belfast for the day, we came across this lovely pub on our way back to the hotel. The atmosphere, food, service, and live music were all excellent. I would have given it a perfect 5 stars, but my fish pie had more potato than fish. The bar staff were fantastic in helping me choose some local beers to sample. View all feedback.

As a family of four adults, we all agreed that this restaurant was not a great place for food or ambiance. The food was bland and uninspired, and while it was passable, it wouldn't be a top choice for us to return. The restaurant had a nice old-fashioned pub feel, but could use some maintenance as evidenced by the messy men's restroom. Our first evening in Belfast and came across McHughs, the oldest building in Belfast, great place to eat, food delicious staff very friendly.
Very interesting place with a storied past. Food and drinks were inexpensive and large servings. I would say the food was OK, nothing extra but perfectly acceptable.
Quite simply, the greatest bowl of Irish Stew I have ever had in my life. I need say nothing more. Wonderful!

I had the lamb chops (3) w mashed potatoes veggies. My wife had the chicken supreme w potatoes veggies. Both were good. Service was excellent. The upstairs seating was not available, so we ate adjacent to the bar on the first floor. They have traditional music Fri/Sat/Sun. Located across from Custom House Square Glider station.
