Another well frequented and buzzing spot. The Egg has lots of students, get down early if you want a table. Had to wait a while to get a drink!! Have screens to watch sports. View all feedback.
What Grace C doesn't like about Eglantine:
I have visited this restaurant multiple times. The food is decent, but unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to try it this time. We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We were headed to the Lyric Theatre for a 7:30pm show and decided to dine here beforehand, hoping to reminisce about our student days at Queens. Although the menu looked promising and we were pleased with the drink specials, our evening took a turn for the worse. Despite arriving shortly after 6pm and being one of the few occupied tables, our food took an unusually long time to arrive. After inquiring about our meals, we were informed that there were issues in the kitchen causing delays. When our food finally arrived, the burgers were dry and lacking the promised toppings. We did not have time to request replacements as we were already running late for the theatre. To make matters worse, we discovered that we had been overcharged for all our drinks, despite the advertised specials. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the food quality, slow service, and deceptive pricing. Dine here at your own risk.

I approached a staff member to request a menu, but it took him a moment to acknowledge me as he was busy watching a football game on the screen. Due to this lack of attention and service, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
I have always loved spending time at Eglantine, both in the evenings and during the day. The food and service are consistently great, and the atmosphere is lovely. However, I was disappointed to see that they have raised the price of Guinness by 60p, which seems excessive. Additionally, the music played, even during the day, does not cater to the preferences of their demographic (I can attest to this). I hope they will consider the tastes of their customers more carefully and not just follow popular culture trends.
My friends and I are frequently in Eglantine bar...we never have anything bad to say. Theres always a comfortable seating area for us..reasonably priced drinks, nice staff and next to no waiting time for drinks. On top of that they serve nice food and have pool and other games for entertainment
Early St Patrick's Day drinks and lunch. Very friendly staff who were apologetic when there was a mix-up with our food orders and straight away brought us over free drinks on the house. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced.
