On 5/1/23 my wife ordered sweet and sour chicken and I ordered the general tso's chicken. We both got fried rice with our meals. The sweet and sour chicken was just breaded chicken with a side of sauce and the tso's chicken was just breaded chicken with sauce on them. Not one other ingredient in either meal or in the rice. The restaurant is not as good as it used to be. The food and service both received a rating of 3, while the atmosphere was only rated a 1.

After first trying Chee Peng about 8 months ago, I decided to give their takeout another shot. The ordering process was easy and the wait times were manageable. The same friendly woman helped me both times and the other customers seemed satisfied with their orders. Despite hearing rave reviews from the people of Greenville, my second visit didn't quite live up to the hype. The sesame chicken was chewy without much flavor, the broccoli with brown sauce was tasty but a bit runny, and the fried rice lacked in flavor. The egg rolls and crab rangoons were as expected. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. However, the restaurant itself seemed rundown and cluttered, which made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. While the food didn't impress me enough to become a regular customer, it's clear that Chee Peng is a beloved family business in the community. Hopefully, they can improve and reach their full potential in the future.

I ordered egg drop soup and I got onion soup. The rest of my order was correct but just tasted very strange. Will not be ordering again
Literally so good- way better pricing than Greenville and way better tasting ??
We love Chee Peng! They are very friendly and accommodating. I have a gluten intolerance and they made Lo-Mi for me using a non-white noodle. I am very grateful for their consideration.
Food had good flavor but nothing special, didn't get out egg rolls
