I rarely give a perfect 5-star rating since I believe there's always room for improvement. This place deserves a solid 4½ stars! What gail m doesn't like about Richard's Fish Crabs:
Good fried oyster basket. A little heavy on the white pepper, if that 's what I tasted. The oysters were fresh and plump and the breading light... didn 't need a "bite ' to detract. I hadn 't been there before so I didn 't know it was carry out only. It was a nice evening so I was able to eat at the picnic table outside. All the sandwiches we got had too much salt on them to the point we could not taste the food and no lettuce or tomatoes. We were not asked if we wanted it. I thought it would be just on them. I arrived promptly at Richards today at 5pm to pick up my order that was placed at 3pm. I was informed that the order was not ready and the kitchen staff was still working on it. My order consisted of 1/2 dozen crabs and a lb of shrimp. Needles to say after 20 minutes of waiting I asked the young ladies if my order was ready and gave them my name again to check on it. I was very irritated that my order was ready the entire time I waited. I was handed my order and told I was all set. I was very disappointed that no one offered an apology for the delay or provided a justification why I wasn't given my order when I arrived at 5pm. I wonder how long it would have taken until they realized I was still waiting on my order. This was a very disappointing experience and again I was not provided with an apology for waiting 20 minutes. It took me asking for it, by far this was the worst customer service I received at Richards. I hope that the service I received this evening is never experienced again.
