Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

If you decide to eat at this restaurant, be prepared to spend several hours. We spent the first hour waiting for a table, but luckily the retail area kept us entertained so we didn't mind. Once we were finally seated, it took over two hours for our entrees to arrive. My partner's steak was cooked perfectly, but my dish was overcooked and resembled a hockey puck (ordered medium well, but came out grey); my eggs were also burnt. The grits were runny and tasteless. The sausage gravy was greasy, but the beef gravy was decent. The manager offered us a free dessert as compensation. The service was good, but the cooking was subpar and the wait was extremely long. We probably won't be returning.

I am from Thailand and be here for the first time. The place and foods are awesome. I finished lunch and left but I dropped my wallet there. After an hour I came back to ask for my wallet maybe someone found it. The lady at the restaurant smile . say YES! and gave me the wallet ,Thanks God! *Thanks for your kind assistance and your thoughtfulness ????

The food was lukewarm, not smokin hot. It was good, though. I had meatloaf with mash n gravy and turnip greens. Mty folks said that their food was not hot, neither. So, this location needs to make sure they are serving the food hot. The novelty shop wasnice!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly smile. Our waitress was exceptional and very attentive. Despite being busy, she still took the time to allow us to place our orders. I opted for the catfish dinner, my husband chose the shrimp dinner, and my daughter selected the steak burger dinner. All of the dishes were delicious, although I wasn't a huge fan of the turnip greens as they had a slightly strong vinegar taste.

To begin, I would like to mention that our server, Sophia, was excellent. Unfortunately, they were out of catfish and a few other menu items, so I decided to try the fried chicken. It was acceptable, but not something I would choose again. On the other hand, my wife, who loves chicken and dumplings, thoroughly enjoyed them and said they were great as always.
