What Leonardo Oliveira doesn't like about Toi Farois:
This is one good example that number 3 in Beja is not deserved to this place. If you're not a smoker then is probably not the best choice, because you are eating with a fellow next to you smoking after finishing his meal. Only smokers...dining room, small and with a terrible acoustics. Food is simple but good especially the black pork. At the end you will leave the place with a headache. View all feedback.
That is a small simple restaurant outside beja. not easy to find, but it totally worth if they like grilled meat. her specificity is black, Iberian pork. lagarto, entrecosto, plumas, abanico are some of the cuts that they can find and do not forget the tomats. salad and the house made pommes. do not expect luxury, but expect quality. price range 15-20 euro.
The interieur is very easy with uncomfortable chairs. but if they don't mind that the grilled porco preto grelhado is one of the best that they can find accompanied with freshly cut french french fries and simple tomato onion salat. if they like it, it's worth going!
Located in a small village outside Beja, this small, plain looking restaurant excels at one thing. PORK! While Pork is featured at almost every restaurant in Beja, Toi Farois takes it to a new level. Prepared many different ways, it is the most flavorful, tender...Pork I have ever eaten (and that says alot)..a must have. Also quite novel and delicious is their tomato salad. Made up of just tomatoes, olive oil, a hint of vinegar, and spice they are combined into an excellent salad. Our party of 8 went through 2 huge bowls! This restaurant may be a bit off the beaten path, it is well worth the trip. I plan on being in Beja again next fall and will definately be stopping by.

The hotel is located in a small village 10 miles away from beja called porto peles, sure to take a good gps. this place has an amazing variety of grilled pork, ripen, sirloin and other bits without translation into English, klempner, abanicos, secretos, lagartos and...so on. do not expect luxury, paper towels and hardwood chairs. the personal is friendly and funny. great great solemn salad. make sure that she was their reservation, I was there on Wednesday evening in the fairytale and the house was packed. if they can order a reservation on the day before they can also order typical alentejos dishes such as ensopado de borrego (lamb stew,) cozido de grão (pork meat and pudding stew whith chickpeas,) and açordas (cod fish, cação or roast pork with boiled brot seasoned with crinkled).
