Back to Beirut after a few years. Used to love this place, had great cocktails, delicious meals! Tonight the service was so poor that I stopped at my first bad 10usd gin basil... quite disappointed... I may try again but mostly to me it looks the place went down! Too bad.. View all feedback.
Very good atmosphere. Great 961 red beer on draught and good food. Also wonderful music from all eras.

I've been there and it's so so. However, I was disturbed to learn that the management there finds loud abusive verbal assaults of women acceptable, but considers it a problem if the woman being harrassed raises her voice in angry self-defence. In the incident in question, when the young woman shouted back at the man to leave her alone, he struck her, and still the management considered it her fault. That's outrageous. I'd just as soon stay away from there. Hint to management: Once the guy started to raise his voice, he should have been ejected and told to return only after he could behave/control himself.
I was very disappointed by the blond lady in the bar (not sure if she is the owner). Food and drinks were OK but as I tried to pay by credit cards, their machine did not work. They tried for 20 minutes again and again, at no moment would they even apologise or look me just in the eyes and ask if I would not mind paying in cash. The venue is nice and food good but no commercial sense at all from the barmen when I was truing to pay, as if they were making you a favour to even talk to you. I had to go to a cash machine and pay cash and still being treated as it was my fault. Never felt so mistreated in a bar in my life. Ps the waitress was really nice, the only one who apologised even if it was not her fault! in summary, if you don't care being treated like less than nothing and still pay western prices... you will definitely like this place!
A pretty cool football-pub-but-classy bar with great drinks and a selection of draught beers. The crowd is very diverse, mostly a foreign and Lebanese middle-aged crowd, really cool waiters, but all this minus the pretentiousness! It's just so casual to just come here and relax and have a great conversation with friends or a date, no frills, just a straightforward quality outing. Excellent food, cozy outdoor seating with some greenery, and the playlists are great on the weekends. My bf's and mine favorite bar on Hamra.
