Looks can be deceiving, as the title of this review suggests. Perhaps we wouldn't have stopped just by walking past the window, but after reading a few reviews, we decided to give it a try. This place was discovered due to its proximity to the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge a 10-minute walk away). For its category, it deserves top stars. A family-run establishment where you truly feel like you've known the owners forever; you feel right at home. Excellent food, good value, a fixed menu with a first course, second course, and side dish for €15 on Saturdays €12 during the week). Friendly, unpretentious service, with attentive customer service.
A bar-restaurant with a touch of old-world charm, including the squat toilet. It's a no-frills, no-frills place. It's family-run, and everyone is very friendly. The €12 lunch menu is very reasonable, and the food is delicious. I loved everything about it. I recommend it for a business lunch break or a casual meal with friends.
A modest-looking restaurant with simple, flavorful, and delicious food! Discovered by chance after a visit to Stupinigi, it offers good home-style cooking. The staff/owners are kind and welcoming. From the lunch menu, we chose chickpea soup (exquisite), lasagna (superb), raw meat salad (delicious), and caponata (as delicious as I had with friends in Naples). It was the best meal of our four-day visit to Turin! Excellent value. It's located on the corner of Via Ortigara and Via Stupinigi. If you happen to be in the area, we highly recommend it!
