What User doesn't like about Es Furio De Fito:
I didn't get very happy from the place, that is, the location is spectacular but both access to the site and the food leaves much to be desired. The lids were cold or poorly reheated, the squid was very small and was neither relieved and the Catalan cream was not homemade. View all feedback.
An Unpleasant Experience: Firstly, it’s important to mention that our trip to Begur, Catalonia was absolutely delightful. This beautiful Catalonian town was the setting for a memorable family reunion that included myself, my wife, and our child, as well as my mother and sister. However, there was an unfortunate incident that occurred at a particular restaurant which I feel is necessary to bring to light. My wife attempted to place a takeaway order at this restaurant, while I stayed at our Airbnb. Initially, it seemed like a smooth process with both the chef and the hostess willingly accepting our order. But that’s when things took a disappointing turn. An outburst from a member of the restaurant staff, who appeared to be a manager, was the first negative signal. This individual proceeded to loudly berate the chef and hostess in full view of customers for merely accepting our takeaway request. Following this, a second manager possibly the owner of the establishment emerged and shockingly began to yell at my wife. The language used was predominantly Catalan, and while my wife is multilingual, unfortunately, she doesn’t speak this particular language. Despite her linguistic prowess, the one phrase she could make out from the manager’s tirade was a demand that she must converse in Catalan. This experience was not only uncomfortable and off putting, but it also hinted at a potential underlying arrogance and perhaps even a discriminatory attitude, which is deeply concerning. The hospitality industry, in essence, is built on kindness, understanding, and the celebration of diversity, making such behavior profoundly inappropriate. It’s crucial to note that there are many superb restaurants in the vicinity that uphold these values and deliver excellent service. It would be wise, in my opinion, to spend your hard earned money where it is genuinely appreciated, rather than at a place where customers can be treated so poorly. In conclusion, while we absolutely enjoyed our time in Begur, Catalonia, our experience at this particular restaurant was significantly less than satisfactory. For those planning a visit to this enchanting Catalonian town, I would advise choosing dining options with care, to ensure your overall experience remains positive.
Pasta salad was uninspiring and lacked basil as promised on menu. Hardly any olives. Disappointing. Partner had rabbit which was bony and lacking meat. Service from wine assistant was great.
Very bad quality. Pulpo like elastic. Food burnt Service is ok but they simply do produce quality food. I will never go here again
Camareros agradables, comida bastante eficiente, pero muy básica y nos la imaginamos descongelada para la ocasión. Con buen gusto, poco interesante, pero bien ubicado y efectivo.
Excelente bienvenida y personal encantador. Y muy, muy bueno con productos frescos y caseros. Gracias !
