Talk about getting your monies worth. Had the eggplant parmesan, plate must have weighed 5 pounds. Enough food for several meals. The service and taste of the food was great! View all feedback.
What rockykid7 doesn't like about Roma's Italian:
I would say Roma’s is Italian inspired cuisine. The pasta we ordered was pretty good, enjoyable and big portions. The dinner rolls were very tasty. The salads were nothing special, but the focaccia bread was laughable. It was what appeared to be a hoagie roll cut horizontally toasted with sliced tomato and mozzarella on top. It was very poor indeed. However the service was quick and friendly. Now that I know what to... View all feedback.
Thought we would try this place specifically for their Sicilian Pizza, which has achieved legendary status in Northeast Pennsylvania and vicinity, so we ordered a large tray for a business meeting break. Originally enthused that there was a pizza place offering Sicilian pizza in the area, we decided to give it a go, but that 's where the enthusiasm ended. The thick crust wasn 't airy as it should be, just a heavy doughy taste, almost gummy. The bottom side, which should be baked in a deep pan with peanut oil, wasn 't cooked or crunchy enough, maybe why that 's why the rest of the foundation was doughy. Sauce wasn 't anything special, tasted like it came from a can, and the cheese was like standard mozzarella, not the white cheddar that sets off a good Sicilian pizza. It was like they used the same ingredients they use for the round New York style pizzas; true Sicilian pizza uses different dough and ingredients- that 's what sets it apart from the thin crust round regular pizzas. It was just ok nothing we would ever order again, people NOT familiar with how a good Sicilian pizza should taste, may not notice the difference and think it was fine- but it 's not a true Sicilian pizza. You might like it, but it won 't ever achieve legendary status in Sanger and vicinity.
I'm not into flash, more into taste and quantity. You can or on the garlic knots, but save room for the entree and desert
Always more food for your money and every dish I've tried has been delicious!
Excellent food. Also the playlist was nice (classic Italian songs).
Happened to come here after a short visit to Beeville. First the bread knots were a soft yeasty loveliness w/ a little garlic- Yummy. Have you ever gone a place and you order a pasta dish and out comes the boat swimming in sauce and over abundance of cheese? Well that is not the case w/ their Lasagna- tasty a wonderful ratio of all things that make a good Lasagna. Had Chicken Florentine soup-okay, needed some pizzazz in the base and a touch too salty. Place is bright, clean can seat large parties. Our waitress was kind and checked on us often. Well worth a try.
