The restaurant has recently been renovated, staying true to the original building and its features. The lunch special of £12.90 for 3 courses is great value for money, with a tasty selection of dishes including Thai Curry, Minute Steak, and Ratatouille Omelette. The specials menu is also diverse and intriguing. The service was attentive and accommodating, catering to diners' preferences. Unfortunately, the weather di... View all feedback.
What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about The White Hart at Maulden:
The restaurant was not busy. The food when we got it was excellent and for that I would come back again however the service was disappointing. We did ask about the long wait and these were pushed along but waiting for food for that sort of time is really unacceptable.
Anticipating a new menu in the near future, as per the chef, but the food we had was excellent. We've consistently had great meals at the White Hart, and this visit was no exception. I've heard there's new management in place, and I'm sure once the word spreads, the place will get busier. We were the only ones in the restaurant until our dessert arrived, but it was a Tuesday night after all. The restaurant has all the right ingredients to become a fantastic dining spot, and I will definitely be coming back in the future. It's a charming village pub.
We had a great meal and the steaks were cooked perfectly! The restaurant is located in a charming traditional pub, which added to the experience.
My family from Ireland visited and we went to the White Harte for lunch. We had a table for 6 and chose the lunchtime menu, which was 2 courses for £10.90. There were many options to choose from, but the chicken curry was not available. Despite this, everyone enjoyed their meals and the Guinness was great. The restaurant had a good selection of reasonably priced wines. We will definitely return.
We had a very enjoyable evening at The White Hart. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. We had not been there before, but booked based on the positive online reviews. The pub had a nice cosy atmosphere and we were very pleased with our experience. We will definitely be booking again and recommending it to our friends.
