So I ordered a very last minute birthday cake and even though they were supposed to close at 2pm (Sundays) they managed to get a beautiful cake together for me! Ordered cake for 12noon, arrived not ready, said we'd return at 3, still wasn't ready at 4. Finally got it at 4:30 after a rush job to finish decorating it. I know 2 customers who didn't get their orders at all. Staff moan that there's too much work and not enough staff. Manager full of excuses why things are wrong. Two days ago, I've had the chance to buy my first cake with fruits and custard to celebrate the birthday of a friend. I've spoken to Francesco, who works at this beatiful place and got very useful suggestions. He was very collaborative. Upon his suggestion, I've ordered the cake via their website and I went the day agreed to collect the cake and it exceeded my expectations. Fresh and delicious. Considering I'm Italian, it means a lot to me.
