Disappointing to be honest, given its position as top fish and chip shop in Beds. Was there Friday evening around 7.45pm, service achingly slow despite seemingly plenty of staff, who were admittedly pleasant, always a bonus. Excellent Fish and Chips. Friendly family run business. Never disappoints. Love that they do gluten free Fish and Chips on Wednesdays!
Took the family for some delicious take away. Fish was fresh, chips were hot and thoroughly enjoyed the battered sausage! Staff were friendly, polite with a good sense of humor. Parking can be tight, but food was delicious! Definitely worth the effort.

We've used these guys a few times now, fish and chips are always fresh, fish and chips are fried separately from other items as well which is a bonus. Only comment is can you do bigger sauce pots, i.e. large curry sauce in a larger pot maybe? Staff are all lovely, and constantly on their feet not had any bad food from them yet. Honestly best chippy in bedford, and we've tried quite a few!
If you want freshly cooked to order fish and chips this is the place to go. The best fish and chips I have had in this area in a long time. The batter is perfectly crispy, not to greasy and fish perfectly cooked. The slice of lemon is a great touch. Chips were freshly cooked and hot even by the time we got home. Service was friendly and great. Overall the experience was perfect.
