I visited this pub on Christmas Eve to meet up with my local brother for drinks. We had a great time and plan to make it our new Christmas Eve tradition. The atmosphere was excellent, with a warm welcome and good beer. There was easy on-site parking, children were welcome, and the price per person was between £1-10. The service was top-notch and I would highly recommend this place. View all feedback.
What Muhammad Smith doesn't like about Anchor Inn:
expects not much of the food here (or expects you to know what a vegan was.) Luckily it was great! a few vegan options on the menu and plus points for vegan cheese on the burger. View all feedback.
This is a beautiful old restaurant at the river bank, but unfortunately was closed what I was very surprised at seemingly the bar and the restaurant are closed on the afternoon in view of the beautiful location and the fact that there were many people gathered on the river bank, I am quite surprised! missing opportunity on a beautiful sunny afternoon a nice long drink or two would have made for a relaxing time
Adore this sweet and traditional small pub in a quiet and picturesque village. eating is always delicious and there is a good choice of options on the menu. the personal seems always happy and attentive, and I find the prices very reasonable. I just have a negatiw, that is that it is not dog friendly! not enough to guarantee a loss of a star. great place!
They enjoy our meal staff could be more inviting, it was not a busy day
Seemed nice, stopped in for a quick pint, they'll give you a plastic glass so you can sit on the benches by the river which is perfect on a hot day. Good pint, happy customer
Popped in for a drink and took it out to sit by the river across the road so didn't really experience the pub itself. It's a small pub and looks lovely. We will be going back and sitting in to have something to eat next time.
