Large selection of local real ales. renter obviously has pride in its products. very friendly and eating was also good and generous portions. very enjoyed our unplanned visit and will visit again.

The owner and bartender were both wonderful. There’s a good selection of traditional port, and while it’s an alcohol-only pub, the pub grub options are somewhat limited considering the current climate. We ordered some sampi and chips, and I went for the baked mushrooms. The mushrooms were crispy, dry, and flavorful – definitely the best of their kind I’ve had in a long time. Overall, it was a lovely and relaxed evening.

My absolute favorite place! They have a fantastic selection of drinks, and if you're unsure about what to choose, just ask Ian, the bartender—he has an incredible knowledge of all the local ales, beers, and spirits. I’d go as far as to say he’s a bit of an enthusiast! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, and they're dog-friendly too! Overall, it's the perfect spot for enjoying drinks!
