Excellent food with fabulous presentation. They made my orders in a timely fashion, and delivered them right too me. An employee spoke traditional Japanese which made my grandmother feel more welcomed. All around good place, will be coming back. View all feedback.
What Connie C doesn't like about Marinepolis Sushi Land:
This used to be a go to but recently, the quality seems to be going down and there is a definitely lack of clients as well. For instance, the tempura shrimp seems to be soggy and rubbery, the rolls that run around the track aren 't as fresh as they could be so I now order fresh from the waitress. The staff here are awesome though and always give great service and attention! View all feedback.

Meh, quality and piece size/quantity dropping over time and their prices have more than doubled in a year. (Used to be $1.00 for a 4-piece salmon skin roll, now it's $2.00 for 2-3 slices, used to be $1.00 for Mackerel, now it's $2.00, Tuna was $1.50, now $3. . Used to be able to get a pretty decent amount of sushi for $9, now after spending $14 I'm leaving still hungry and wishing I'd eaten elsewhere as I'd get a lot more meal for less dough. Kind of a bummer, as these guys used to be great but now everything's really just too expensive. I'm apparently not the only one who thinks so--it used to be standing room only on the way in the door; now, the place is empty almost every time I've been there. Kind of sad, as this was my favorite weekly go-to-place for lunch.
Been going for decades, granted it has changed owners several times. Today, late Oct'16 will be my last visit. Took 15min to be seated in an empty joint, the ready table still had bits of food, booth still had bits of food. Takeout person ticked off an hour prior order was incorrect, staff body language extremely depressing, no greeting, recipient of complaining take out guy just gave back a blank stare. Another 15min into meal, no water or tea. I had to get my own soy sauce dishes. I stress I don't think it's the staff, it's the lack of management to balance workload in my view. They are definitely short 2 folks on a Sat night!!! This is my last visit. Many alternatives to this place. It's no longer downhill, it has crashed.
So there's a few reasons why I'm giving Marinepolis a low rating... 1. There was a bad fish smell when I first walked in. Like old/fake/not fresh fish. 2. My wait was over 30 minutes when I was told 15 minutes. 3. My waitress asked for our drink orders, I asked for hot tea, I was never given hot tea, I ended up getting up to pour my own tea 4. The spicy ahi is just ahi with sauce poured over it. It wasn't spicy at all. 5. The wasabi was basically just green paste with no flavor or spice to it. 6. The belt hardly had anything on it. 7. Even if the belt was empty, it still took forever to get a waitress to take our order. 8. The booth seats were really uncomfortable. It feels like the cushions need to be replaced 9. They were out of a few menu items I decided to give this place 2 stars instead of 1 because my expectations were pretty low to begin with, considering that this is a CHEAP belt sushi restaurant. And I'm pretty satisfied with how little I had to pay for my meal. Also, the chefs were really nice and friendly. I haven't found a great belt sushi place in the area yet, but I won't be returning to this one.
12 year since my last visit! I was suprised I had reviewed it before... anyway... My wife and I stopped here because it was convenient for timing reasons rather than driving to our regular spots. I was intrigued to give it another try. Service: Everyone was very kind, and the sushi chefs checked on us a few times in case we needed something. Their sushi train is small so they can't fit everything you might want on it. The waitress seated us and then never spoke to us again, no refills of water or anything. We had to hunt her down to pay. She was taking care of other customers though, so she wasn't doing a bad job, just not a thorough job... Sushi: Fish/taste/amounts were well below the quality we get at places within a few miles. Prices were about average with a few rolls being above average compared to other higher quality places. Amount of fish/filling in rolls was LOW and amount of rice was high to pad them out. Rice was dry and not particularly good either. When we got there at 4:45 there was one chef and she was struggling to catch up. Fish was coming out of black containers presliced and it wasn't clear if they were slicing in house as other nicer places do. Had green tea it was NOT good and was served in a cup but with no pot. Here is what I'd recommend to owners: GO TO Sushi Hana off Murray in Beaverton they, IMHO, really have this price point and style of sushi nailed. EVERYTHING there is better and many of their plates are cheaper. Quantity and quality of fish is better. Variety is much higher and the pricing is actually a little cheaper. I'd LOVE to come back sometime and then update and improve my review.
