My favorite coffee shop in Portland! I’ve been going to this location since 2010 when I lived just down the street and they were in a smaller space across the parking lot. Now I live in a different area but every time I’m near Tanasbourne I must stop here and grab a coffee or hot chocolate and a pastry! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What Naveed B doesn't like about Insomnia Coffee Co.:
Day (or 2) old stale pastries (croissants, cinnamon roll, scones) at 6:40am, espresso not working (i.e. drip coffee only). Why is this place open this early if they don't have the basics? Wish I had waited and gone to Grand Central bakery instead. The restaurant received top marks in both service and atmosphere.
Coffee ok cashier standing in front of you when the tip screen flashes up is not. Turns a 3.50 coffee to a 4.50 coffee. Min tip 1$
Anticipate a 20-minute wait for a cup of coffee at this restaurant.

Fun coffee house atmosphere. Excellent coffee and a friendly, efficient staff. I had the Bonfire blend drip coffee and probably the best everything cheese bagel I've had in years. All their pastries looked delicious. My son had a croissant and coffee, my daughter in law had a tea and a breakfast bagel, and my friend had a mocha with homemade whipped cream and a cinnamon roll. Thumbs up from the whole group! My new favorite coffee shop when visiting the Hillsboro area! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
