Simply put, this is the best specialty pizza EVER. Period, full stop. It is magic the way the crust maintains it's integrity even though it is piled with one delicious topping after another. Best of all? Vics is BYOB so we meet there for our bottle shares and drink the finest beer and eat the finest pizza. Staff is super cool and welcoming.
It might take a while, but it's worth the wait. We've been eating their pies since they were served at Wooley Booleys a couple years ago. You won't be disappointed!
Let me explain the 4 stars... It's good pizza, just not my personal preference. The crust is medium thick (in between Sicilian and thin crispy). The sauce has too much Italian herb seasoning and there's too much of it, for my taste. But the cheese is good, nice selection of toppings, crust is tasty! Friendly service. My order took longer than they said it would but they were friendly and apologized for the wait.
I ordered a large pizza but received something closer to a small medium that they insist is large. There definitely wasn’t enough cheese, way too much sauce, and an overwhelming amount of seasoning. The staff were friendly, but they need to improve. I’d prefer more toppings covering the pizza instead of leaving a 5-inch crust.
Updated: The food is excellent—distinctive and full of flavor. The Hunkey Alley pizza is outstanding. This family-owned spot is a fantastic local gem. I will definitely be back. Thanks for your response!
