Tonight in Athens. Free parking in their property next to the building, but along the 7th Ave. Greek-style atmosphere, with a menu that has something for everyone - at very affordable prices. Accepts cash. Sun. ed., 8 am to 3 pm; Mon to Thurs. Sa, 7 am to 7 pm; Fr. 7-8. Known for their Greek cuisine, especially lamb dishes, and I like their stuffed pork chop dinner too. Around 75 seats in the standard style. Friendly... View all feedback.
What Timothy Winkle doesn't like about Athens Family:
I got the sausage gravy and biscuits. It was terrible. Mostly gravy and biscuits, hardly any sausage at all. I’m telling you I had to look very carefully for meat. I will not order this again from there. View all feedback.
I order from here weekly and it’s always delicious. My personal favorite is their French toast, seriously try it it’s so good. These people take pride in their restaurant and what they do!
I’ve been eating at Athens for several years now. The food and service is top notch. It’s hard to find a place that has it all, and I believe that Athens is one of those places. Athens makes it very easy to support local business as they offer both quality food and quality service. Highly recommended.
I'm not usually a fan of omelets, but I decided to try the Gyro Omelet, and it turned out to be the best omelet I've ever had. The meat had a nice crispiness in spots, and the sauce was amazing. I definitely want to have it again!
I had lunch here on Friday for the first time, although my sister had been there before and raved about it. She was right—it was amazing! The prices are incredibly reasonable considering the large portions. I ordered the gyro plate, which came with a generous amount of meat. My sister had the gyro omelet. I can't wait to go back again!
As for vegetarian options, I'm not a vegetarian myself, so I don't specifically look for those dishes, but I do know they offer some nice salads. Regarding dietary restrictions, customers can request that the server prepare dishes without certain ingredients, but since I don’t have any dietary restrictions myself, I'm not sure how flexible they can be. When it comes to parking, it’s generally manageable, though it can get a bit crowded during peak hours. However, we’ve always been able to find a spot, even during busy times. As for wheelchair accessibility, there are no steps to navigate, and while I haven’t seen anyone in a wheelchair, I have noticed many patrons using walkers and canes, so it seems to be accommodating for those with mobility aids.
