Culver's - Beaver Dam
Culver's
Description
This neighborhood Culver’s delivers reliably tasty fish, butter burgers and rotating frozen custard flavors, with friendly, celebratory service and speedy curbside pickup. Quality and service vary by shift: daytime staff are respectful and efficient, while late shifts show uneven training, slow orders, and occasional overcooked or flimsy patties and sparse toppings. Portions and sides—especially coleslaw—can be hit-or-miss. Overall it’s a casual, family-friendly stop for takeout or a quick meal, best enjoyed when staffing and kitchen quality are on point.

We dropped in for a quick dinner on our way back to Madison and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this Culver's is! The restaurant looks brand new, featuring a modern decor that still captures the classic Culver's country vibe. The staff was really friendly and even accommodated my request for a veggie patty on one of the kids' meals. The music was great, and my kids remarked, "It's warm in here!"—which is unusual for a Culver's. I’ll definitely stop by again if I’m passing through!
I had my first experience dining here, and it was great! The onion rings were delicious and not greasy at all. I ordered the double cheese bacon burger, which was really tasty. The staff went above and beyond with their service. The restaurant was clean, and the condiments were well-stocked. Overall, a fantastic visit!
Over the years and through many visits, I've noticed that any Culver's can be a mixed bag. Sometimes the food is fantastic, while other times the burgers can be slightly overcooked and dry. More often than not, though, the food is pretty good. This particular location was in a part of Beaver Dam I didn’t even know existed. After a round of golf, we let our GPS guide us there, and we weren't disappointed. It was easy to find, and there was plenty of nearby shopping if that's what you're looking for. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and it was excellent—juicy and tasty, probably the best mushroom Swiss I've had at a Culver's. The fries were fresh and complemented my meal perfectly. My friend ordered the cod dinner and appeared satisfied with his meal; it looked like a generous portion (which it should be for the price). I don’t visit Beaver Dam often—usually just once a year for some fall golf—but I will definitely keep this place in mind as a great lunch option for my next trip!
I will always give Culver's a five-star rating. They are simply the best in the industry. The location in Beaver Dam is pleasant, spotless, and staffed with friendly employees. I have no complaints whatsoever about it.
The patties in my double butter burger were so thin and flimsy that I could actually see light through them when I held them up. The toppings included just small dabs of mustard, ketchup, and two tiny pickle slices. At $7.50 for a burger basket, I found that Sunview and Park Avenue Cafe offer larger portions and better food for the same price.
