unfortunately, we had an antipathic staff during our visit. food was correct and a little expensive for the region. Meat dishes were more exciting than fish dishes. Ancient and beautiful story. I still remember it and I often talk about it. A very good address to put in his notebook.
Excellent moment past, the perfect day menu with a velvety of asparagus, for 3 of us and an excellent home terrine also for the 4th, then the finely served pintade supreme with a nice sauce, and a dessert that will leave a good memory a terrine of lost bread really excellent. The wine to accompany all this was also high-level, a high white night coast of 2020. a nice welcome, little table, quality, seriousness, bravo to the service and kitchen team, it makes want to return to Beaune quickly.

We were welcomed by the manager who was initially very kind. It was my first trip to the restaurant and I wanted to experience this Beaune landmark. On first inspection of the wine list I noticed prices were significantly higher than pretty much everywhere else in Burgundy we have eaten. I asked for a couple specific bottles I had heard they may have off list and was immediately rejected. Eventually I found a white and was pressured by the manager into ordering a less desirable vintage. It was a regret. Eventually the food came and it was passable but nothing to return for. I felt bad for the manager as it appeared to be just him and one other waiter working the entire space. We had some great meals in Burgundy but this wasn't one of them.
