Contribute Feedback What Joe I likes about La Lune:
At this place almost everything is perfect. Very friendly and kind people, actually two persons , Mr. Julien and the cook Sorry don’t know his name). No visit of Beaune without a dinner at the La Lune. Be aware early booking is recommended. View all feedback.
What Amina Brakus doesn't like about La Lune:
Having booked several weeks in advance for 8:00, we could not once again enjoy this good address. The hazards of the road between Belgium and France have been fatal to us, even by warning of our delay (40 minutes), our reservation was radically cancelled. Not always obvious to find a plan B in Beaune on arrival day We regret this lack of flexibility... because we don't think there was a second service at 10:00. View all feedback.
Wine bar that is found bigger than it seems, with a corner around the fire. the glass wine list is limited (3 in red and 3 in white) and the prices are not given (between 8€ and 9€ the glass) but the atmosphere and the decor of service give all the charm of this place. the wines are surprising and the à la carte cheeses are really delicious (charcuterie and terrine are good but less interesting.) a nice surprise.
We went to parenthesis with the family (3 children aged 6 to 16) one evening. we hadn't booked, but we were welcome and comfortably installed on the couch in front of the fireplace. the wine menu is reduced, but the excellent wines. Lack of luck, we came soon after the sale of wines, some references of beer and some desserts were not available, but it did not start our evening. the boards to be shared were very good thanks to quality products (e.g. hess cheeses) we will return!
En route to Nice, we stayed in Beaune and ate here. Fabulous fusion food, very flexible menu (ie. main courses could be downsized into starters and vice versa). Huge wine list with loads of local producers. Maitre d’ (Julian) speaks very good English and is a great host. Highly recommended.
Exceptional restaurant. Imaginative French-Japanese fusion dishes, local seasonal ingredients, tapas style dishes, all served in a charming and friendly setting. Just perfect. Be sure to book as the restaurant is tiny.
La Lune was definitely a trip highlight our favorite restaurant in France. Everything was fabulous! Julien was very welcoming and helped us with the menu. We sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the chef in action. Each dish could be increased or decreased in size, depending on the number of people in your party. If you’re visiting Beaune, do not miss this place. It is outstanding.
