Golden Star Buffet - Beaumont

Clean serving areas, hot food and sushi are pretty good. Service is fast and there is a good choice of food to choose. Weekends have a variety of seafood and all sauces you might need. Everything around the good place for a buffet style meal.

I have always liked this buffet, but today I was very disappointed because my waitress ignored me and my husband too. Our soda was always empty and she never take our plate. I don’t understand why she doesn’t like us. she was sitting there happily playing with her cell phone. when I finish my meal, I want to ask my bill, But I couldn’t find her, finally I saw her name in my check she is Christine. She was so mess up. I don’t want to sit her table again.I suggest nobody go and eat I'll be honest with you I won't go again

I have read many negative comments, but I am surprised today most foods are fresh. In so happy coz they got bananas Q, I love their crabs it is fresh, the cancers were small in size and not tasty. But overall I like it there. Foods have varieties of seafood.

I use to live about 30 minutes from this restaurant and my family and I use to love to eat here. The food was great. It was worth the drive. Today my family live 2 and half hours away. We had to take a long trip away from home and on our way back after driving about 7 hours we decided to stop and eat at our old favorite place. The food was horrible many foods we remember eating were not even on the buffet. The shrimp tasted like it was day old and warmed in a microwave. And we even watched them put fresh shrimp out but it tasted old. My family and I will not be returning. The restaurant needs to be cleaned up, good fresh food put out and new management put into place. The waiting also need to wait on their tables. I sat at my table nearly 30 minutes with an empty glass. I had to ask for a refill. This is not a good place to go. I only gave it a 1 star because at least the building is still standing.

My family arrived there around 8:30pm, so I assume that we got the leftovers for the day on the buffet. You could tell the food that was not in sauces was starting to dry out. When i bit into my orange chicken, it was like biting into like an old bisquet covered with burned orange sauce. The chicken had dissolved inside somehow and turned brown. Didn't resemble chicken at all. My wife at the same time was saying how bad the quality of the food was and that it had a bad flavor. Then she saw the hair in the food and was done. Hair in the food happens, but when its nasty food it was the final straw. Informed management that we hated to leave food uneaten, but it was inedible and my wifes had hair in hers. He decided 20% off was fair for our few bites we ate. You know when you almost throw up but you just get that acid taste? I dealt with that for an hour after leaving. Dont waste your $40 on a few bites.
