Griffin Market is a small subtle Italian restaurant hidden away in plain sight in Beaufort. You wouldn’t know it was there unless you were looking for it. They offer a fixed four-course menu that features interesting Italian dishes. Everything was very good and carefully prepared, but it can be challenging to do pre fixe w/ people that have particular tastes, especially if they don’t love seafood. With wine, for two,... What D S doesn't like about Griffin Market:
I've been to Griffin Market twice. It's not that the food isn't good, in my opinion it's just very overpriced. The spaghetti actually tasted just like what my Mom used to cook when we were kids. It's tasty but not exceptional. Luckily both times we weren't paying! View all feedback.
Too loud outside with terrible singer and music. She needs to hang it up, far gone to be enjoyed while having dinner. Looks and voice..and too loud to hear your conversation. Burger was below average.. not much taste and being a prior chef I’d be ashamed to put that out. Shallow Pattie’s with no depth of taste or seasoning. Lots of bugs outside which can be eliminated from plants and repellent. Jar w pennies doesn’t cut it. Service: Dine in

With wine, for two, it was about $220. It was a nice spot for a special occasion.
We have wanted to try Griffin Market for a few years (yes, years). We had an Italian exchange student and thought this might be a good taste of home if it was as authentic as we thought it might be. It was an amazing experience. From the interaction from the owner to watching the dinning room interaction it was a great experience. Food: I was delighted. Every appetizer will come to the table and you share it around like a family meal. Everything was amazing and I was left wanting more. Everyone said they were worried about eating too much because they have more courses coming. The portions were perfect. Every dish was cleaned and everyone was full. The flavors were just amazing. Our exchange student said it made her think of going to her grandmother’s house in Sunday. The ox tail was superb and the pastas were in perfect. If you are looking for Olive Garden then go to Olive Garden and don’t complain about real Italian food. Our bill was a little over $500 for 6 people (3 teenagers and 3 adults) and only 3 additional drinks besides water; worth every penny. We will be back for sure.
Was hoping to enjoy your establishment while on vacation but looks like you will also join Bud light Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
