The drive up from Beasain was along a serpenty road tha... read more We were invited to this traditional Basque restaurant by our business competitors...so there 's a first. The drive up from Beasain was along a serpenty road that yielded beautiful views whenever the trees allowed, however when we arrived at the top we found this great restaurant which seems to have been neglected by other trip advisor reviewers. I don 't include photos of the dishes as I didn 't think it appropriate to click away during this meal, but I can tell you that the selection of home cooking was good and varied and we were told that all the dishes were traditional for the area. The food was tasty and filling, the accompanying wine (a Rioja) was a perfect accompaniment to the meal and the servers very helpful. Maybe a little extra effort in cleaning the cutlery for the meal hence only a 'very good ' rating. There is also a recommended 10 kms walk around the area, which I am sure would burn off the calories but I let that 'pleasure ' pass me by.
