Great Wall - Bealeton

I ordered the lunch special, which was advertised online to include a side of rice. However, none of the five meals we received came with the rice, despite having paid in advance over the phone.

The reviews are completely accurate. This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I foolishly dismissed the warnings, thinking they were mistaken. However, they were right—this is one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. The sweet and sour dish tasted like water, the fried rice was far from fried, and the steamed rice was mushy and bland. The chicken had a rubbery texture. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

I had high hopes for Great Wall Chinese in Bealeton, Virginia, but unfortunately, it fell short. I ordered shrimp toast, which was overcooked and burnt, and the vegetables were limp and soggy. To make matters worse, there was only a single shrimp in the lo mein. Overall, the quality of the food was very disappointing, and I ultimately had to throw everything away. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been dining here almost every week for over 20 years, and I’ve never encountered any issues. The weekends can be busy, so it's important to be patient as they have a small staff. It’s a family-owned and operated restaurant, and they are always very friendly!

The food was bland and quite disappointing. I would rather drive to Fairfax for some decent Chinese cuisine.
