I visited here for a lunch break whilst working and ordered the beef burger and chips. The very first bite jettisoned me back to the local milk bar hamburgers I used to get as a young fella. The salads were fresh and really flavorsome, great prawns and soup too. The coffee was also really nice! After leaving we realised our car battery was flat, but then the owner/chef came to our rescue and even helped jumpstart our car! A top experience minus the bad rental car. The location is beautiful, with lovely views of the river that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Whether you sit inside or outside, it’s a perfect spot to start your day. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They make you feel comfortable and are always happy to help. Their excellent service adds to the pleasant experience. The food is fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. The menu has something for everyone, whether you want a big breakfast or something lighter. Every dish is served with care and looks as good as it tastes. Everything about The River Cafe is great – the beautiful setting, the kind staff, and the delicious food. It’s a place I would happily visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable breakfast.
