Beacon Bread Company
Beacon Bread Company
Description
Nestled in the heart of Beacon, NY, this restaurant offers a mix of experiences that leave patrons divided. While some laud its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delectable breakfast options—like the highly recommended burrito and savory chicken and waffles—others express disappointment over long wait times and unfriendly service. Reports of underwhelming food quality, particularly stale bread and poorly received sandwiches, detract from its appeal. Despite the occasional complimentary croissant gesture, many customers feel they deserve better treatment and quality for their investment. Overall, this establishment may cater to some while leaving others seeking alternatives.

The brunch and coffee were absolutely delicious! I especially loved the breakfast tacos! At first, we had trouble locating the "brunch spot" and thought it was just a coffee shop. Fortunately, someone outside kindly guided us to the back where we could wait to be seated at the lovely adjacent restaurant. It was beautiful!
I was really let down by the food, especially considering the prices. They charged an extra $2 for about six chocolate chips on my pancakes and another $2 for what seemed like less than a full sliced strawberry. I was looking forward to trying the coffee, but it just tasted like watered-down milk. I definitely won't wait in line again to share my disappointing experience with both the food and drinks. Additionally, using Jesus as a sarcastic response to another customer's comments was quite unsettling and disappointing. This shows a real lack of professionalism.
Everything was okay. I had the breakfast burrito paired with a creamy aioli, which I didn’t think quite matched, but it wasn’t awful. I’m secretly hoping the owner replies angrily to my review, as reading his responses to negative feedback has been the highlight of my afternoon. I guess I’ll need to leave a one-star review to catch his attention, though... But if you’re reading this, Mr. Owner, go ahead and unleash your fury! P.S. Don Rickles, watch out!
I ordered a steak sandwich today to eat outside. It arrived in a box and when I opened it the bread itself was great. However upon inspection when I went to eat it there was literally no steak on the sandwich. All American cheese and pepper. Never again. And it was $18.95. I think I was better off buying a small steak and making it at home.
Was excited to try this place. I order brisket and eggs. It had ZERO flavor no seasoning. The corn tortillas it came with had the most flavor. We also ordered chocolate chip pancakes. They put the chips on top instead of in the batter. The London fog was 90% milk and had no flavor too. Service was fine. I will not go back. $35 wasted we ended up discarding our food and drink. Will not be back
