"Never fails to impress; I always have a great time here. It's been consistent for the past three years!"
The staff at this restaurant are all friendly and polite. It's a welcoming atmosphere and a great spot to enjoy a cold beer.
Though few people in the city are aware of it, the Sunbrite holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating business in Baytown, retaining its original name and location since its establishment. Once part of the Tri-Cities—Goose Creek, Pelly, and Baytown—this establishment has changed ownership numerous times over the years. Initially listed as the Sunbrite Cafe in the 1940 Tri-Cities Directory, locals from that era confirm it primarily functioned as a bar since its construction around 1939, although it initially served food as well. In a city like Baytown, where local leaders often overlook the area’s history and allow significant landmarks to deteriorate unless they are conveniently located on Texas Avenue, it is truly refreshing to see the Sunbrite thrive year after year.
Great neighborhood bar. Big music, cold, cold beer and everyone knows everyone. Feel like your home. Love it
