I have been eagerly anticipating the opening of a Roti shop from Trinidad and Tobago, and I can say that this place has exceeded my expectations. Redi, as it is known, offers a unique blend of Caribbean and Indian flavors in their delicious roti dishes. The menu features a variety of curry meats that are expertly prepared with influences from both regions. While the restaurant itself is not very large, it provides a... View all feedback.
What Daphnee Thiel doesn't like about Asha's Roti Shop:
I don't want to give a low star rating, but I must provide my feedback. I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I had high expectations for their roti, as I had enjoyed it in the past. However, this time it was not up to par. I had to drive an hour to get there and I will not be returning. My caramel dessert was expired and had to be thrown away. Some of the items on the menu were also close t... View all feedback.
Very good Caribbean place, and everything seems to be ordered. The staff is friendly, the portions were large, and the food tasted good. Most Caribbean restaurants have a Jamaican focus, while this has a Trinidadian focus, which is a beautiful change, and why Roti is in the name. Tamarind and pepper sauces were also good. But you just know that there are no indoor seating, and limited outdoor seating, so To go is probably the best option. It'll be back.
I typically spend about 50-60$ on a few items here10 doubles ,3 roti
My husband is from the VI. Says the goat rotis are THEE best in the Houston area so far. I like to order a double . Highly recommend. Outdoor seating only but it 's not really aimed for sitting long, i guess. I recommend calling ahead so you don 't wait on the parking lot about 15-25 minutes for your food. The people are always nice.
Outstanding curry chicken roti (and pepper) at a very reasonable price! Wish I lived closer!
