Renovated hotel hall, nice and comfortable. The sauna area is also new. The rooms are very small, nicely furnished. The bathroom is very disappointing. 70s style with brown and green tiles that carry strong wear and tear signs. In my room the ceramic of the sink was broken, the toilet bowl showed crusts. The shower is very small. In a previous review of 2018, the hotel replied that they had been renovated... that has not happened yet. The hotel does not have elevator, but a wooden staircase without doors on the floors to isolate the corridor of rooms from the noise of people and children on them. Restaurant: in three days the soup of the day never changed. The menu list is short and if you stay more than a few days, you can be limited in the choice. The quality of food reflects a possible lack of passion: only moderate. The service is not well organised. All in all good marketing that would book me there, but definitely not a place that would come back for the time.
We were one night. Beds are ok and views over the mountains are great. The staff was friendly at check-in, but we were a bit surprised to find out that our room was on the fourth floor and not an elevator. Interesting to find our bathroom as a flash back to the 70s; brown tiles, brown toilet, small etc. But everything in all, still quite okay for one night or two. A bit of a mix of interior design in the restaurant; Berghütte meets modern design that was a cute idea. What was done for the experience was the fantastic hotel breakfast. Fresh and beautiful start in the morning.

This hotel was half the price of another hotel in the area (Hotel Rex in Bad Wiessee) and much better in many ways. Decor very modern, especially in the dining area and lounge. The staff very friendly, down to earth, and helpful. The town is quiet and serene with a waterfall a few minutes walk away and several much longer hikes also accessible by foot from the hotel. I would gladly go there again, even at higher rates than we paid. VExcellent for the price, hence the rating. Very good at any price.
