This used to be where the chic crowd came before, during and after the Wagner. To add insult to the fact that the champagne and caviar cart is gone, the chic between intervals fine dining has gone, the great wine list has gone, they are...deliberately still taking bookings on line. Utterly shameful

We booked on the day of the opera to eat main course and deserts in the second interval. Although we don't eat meat the vegetarianfish dish that was possible for us was excellently prepared. Very fine trio of deserts. All served swiftly and efficiently. Not...cheap, though

We found this place by luck! We had noticed “ the chic crowd “ go up a small hill at the first interval and decided to follow them at the second! What a find! No massive queues, perfectly chilled French champagne, attentive staff. We booked...to go back for the “ interval” dinner meal. Superb!!!! Don’t even think about standing in the minute lines at the Festivalhaus
