Judicke's Bakery - Bayonne

I ordered a pineapple cake from this bakery for my son's first birthday. I specifically requested fresh pineapple, and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem. The cake cost $38. However, when I received it, I was very disappointed. The smell was off-putting, and there were no fresh pineapples included. I honestly couldn't identify the fruit that was in the cake, but the taste was terrible. I felt so embarrassed in front of my guests, and I had no other options at the time. This truly spoiled my son's first birthday celebration. I would not recommend their cakes to anyone.

Paulantos Backen is truly fantastic! Their specialty cakes are amazing, particularly the chocolate and vanilla layers filled with chocolate mousse. They always decorate my cakes just as I request, and I'm consistently impressed by the freshness, lightness, and flavor of the cakes, fillings, and whipped cream. Their lobster claws (a delightful pastry shaped like a fan and filled with Bavarian cream) are the best I’ve ever tasted. After experiencing numerous bakeries in New York City, I no longer need to travel across the river to find top-quality treats!
