88 Dragon Phoenix - Bayonne

This place used to have wonderful food, but something must have happened with the cooks there and the past few times that I 've ordered and picked up or had delivery, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. 1)The oil they used to cook the egg rolls and fry the rice seemed to be old and had an odd taste.2) The fried chicken was over fried to the point that it was hard.3)The chicken was opaque and undercooked in the chicken and broccoli, and the pork in the pork with string beans was not sliced as it used to be. It was shredded and grisly. The owners of the restaurant are a lovely family. I 'm so sad to see these changes. I 've ordered on different days and at different times hoping it was just an 'off ' day. I 'll try going there again in the future in hopes that the food will return to it 's former quality. I used to consider this take out the BEST in the area. Sorry that I can no longer say that.

The Chinese food here is really great. I love the food here. The price is low. I love the chicken, prawns and chicken wings. They are all great. I suggest you all come here to try General Tso's Chicken. The taste is really great. I will still Coming back

Been living in Bayonne for 2 months and finally have found the best Chinese place. The food is good. The delivery is fast. The service is nice. Best of all, the food is not just good but also healthy and fresh. I have thought that steam food wouldn't taste great but it sure did.
