The food was... read more The restaurant has an identity problem. For the prices you would expect tablecloths and servicers in something other than hoodies and tennis shoes. The food was okay but didn't live up to the prices. Blackened T-bone (ordered Med, received Med/well) and Walleye (the only fish available that evening) The menu was that of a supper club and didn't go with the vibe. We spent $100. for two people. I would skip this restaurant and go to the many other options. It's difficult to know if this review should be attached to the Hotel, The Deck restaurant, the lounge or its just called the Lakeside dining room.

Odd that we were given a menu and had to circle what we wanted and take it to the bar ourselves. Requested no avocado on my turkey club but they must have mistaken that for no turkey. Club came with avocado but not one piece of turkey. Basically a BLT is what I got but with avocado. They did make it right by refunding my money. Apparently you are your own waitress at this establishment. We were seated and never acknowledged again. But a beautiful view. Won't be going back

First time food was over cooked, seco... read more Our family has made three trips up to bayfield this summer and not once have we had a good experience at the Bayfield Inn. First time food was over cooked, second time we had to wait for special hours to dine, the last one today, the receptionist was rude. I did state to her that on multiple occasions we were not able to eat due to kitchen being closed, and that they are in a tourist area and are losing business. Her reply was its only an hour sir. Our people need a break. Sorry, hire more staff and keep the restaurant open. I am sure I am not the only one who will walk past and sit at one of the other fine restaurants in Bayfield.
