Brasserie Reine Mathilde - Bayeux

Friendly, friendly service. really nice hotel right in the center of bayeux. lage could really not be better. Incredibly near tapisserie, cathedrale, all restaurants. easy to reach and a good number of city parking places very close. almost went with 4 stars due to the quality of the breakfast (just okay; quite basic) and some flawless Wi-Fi, but it was the friendly help of hotel staff who kept my rating at 5. in any case would recommend.

On two visits in April, we were looked after extremely well. We will have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Reine Mathilde to those who want to stay in this very picturesque venue in the heart of historic Bayeux.

Visited Le Garde Manger with friends whilst in Bayeux. The menu had a lot of choice. the food was very good value and there was lots of it. I particularly enjoyed the cod with a chorizo crust I had for main.Good atmosphere. Plenty of people on a weekday evening, so the place is clearly popular. Would recommend!

We (wife, 20-year-old enkel, I) had a large three-bedded room with balcony for five days while we visited bayeux and the normandie beaches. the room was cleaned daily, well ordered, comfortable and the breakfast (for a fee) was what I wanted in a French meal brot, cheese, meat, baked, yogurt, cooked eggs and a large selection of breakfast drinks. I love the place! another speciality: the hotel is 30,' from where all tours come. you can see the spot from the hotel restaurant. rick steves was right. excellent!
