Toast - Baxter
Toast
Description
Tucked into a wine-focused setting, this restaurant serves affordably priced, reliably excellent cuisine — from shrimp and grits, mussels and baked brie to coconut-crusted grouper and a hearty ribeye. Guests praise the superb wine list, sangria pitchers, friendly and attentive staff, daily brunch specials, and regular live music that elevates weekend nights. While most experiences highlight prompt service and standout dishes, an isolated report raised concerns about cleanliness and slow service; management response appears mixed. Overall, a warm, lively spot for brunch, date nights, and wine lovers.

The service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. The Baked Brie with Apricot Chutney and Baguette toast was delightful, as were the Shrimp and Grits and Mussels. The Coconut-Crusted Grouper, Fried Squash, and Au Gratin Potatoes were equally excellent! The Ribeye steak was substantial, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The salad was generous, featuring a nice blend of green lettuce, spring mix, cucumber, and sharp cheddar cheese. And we absolutely must mention the wine! The Delmonaco Dulce paired beautifully with my sister's Grouper and Mussels. We will definitely be returning!
I had a wonderful experience during Sunday brunch. They offer daily specials in addition to their regular brunch menu, and we were fortunate to sample one of those specials. The winery even has a staff member who walks around offering wine. We decided to go for a pitcher of sangria, which was incredibly delicious.
