Nowhere in my experience (not very extens... read more Since 2011 I have made three traveling after building, two of which are partly based on the return to this restaurant. Nowhere in my experience (not very extensive in Germany) I found a place with 2 liter beers, mainly the largest traditional German steink beers with a liter are dizzy. Anyway, eating in this restaurant has always been great and the fact that they offer a 2-liter beer is an absolute selling hit and that at a quite reasonable price. an absolute must be for lunch or dinner when they are built in and are in a favorable position. I'll say the last time that the service was missing. they seemed to be a little relatiw busy, but it also seemed like they were underoccupied, and this led to us needing about 35 to 40 minutes to get our pretty simple order. when I got to eat, I was done more than half with my 2 liter beer. a definitive scar on an otherwise good experience.

We found the restaurant on a side street from the main road in the old town of Bautzen. When looking into the window it appeared closed. After they were open, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that they were... well filled with diners in the back dining rooms. After we set ourselves, we have the menu that covers all tastes and pallets. Service excellent and unobtrusive. Four very different meals ordered and four very happy diners when our plates arrived. The food was excellent and very well presented. There was no rush for us to clear after our meal. We were allowed to talk and not annoyed by the staff to get us to order more drinks. The bill was very reasonable for what we had. A truly wonderful and completely unexpected culinary experience. 5 stars and more

Nowhere in my experience (not awfully extensive in Germany) I found a place with 2L beer, especially the largest is the shattered... a liter of traditional German stones. Anyway, the food was always great in this restaurant and the fact that they offer a 2L beer is a total seller and also for a significant price. Definitely, for lunch or dinner, if in Bautzen and conveniently located. I'll say the last time the service was missing. They seemed to be somewhat relatively busy, but it also seemed as if they were underoccupied, and this led to about 35-40 minutes for us to get our quite simple order. I was more than halfway with my 2L beer when the food arrived. A clear scar on an otherwise good experience.

Unfortunately, the roulade was dry, and the red cabbage tasted musty. The plate went back to the kitchen half full. The service was very polite, but we still paid full price.
