We were recommended for dinner last night.Friendly bright dining room courteous and friendly service.A clear menu and an exclusive wine card.We had a salmon startar and then iberico swam on a truffle sauce. Was everything perfect and excellent. Can only be recommended. the two Spanish red wines were also excellent and have rounded off eating.
We often go to eat and always stay enthusiastic. the chef has a fine intuition for spice. his foie gras in all variations or tuna tartar with ingwer and coriander, the filet from the iberian vernacular or the cattle medaillons are always a pleasure. absolutely delicious always tastes the chocolate souffle. Yesterday we have made another discovery - that is all. the restaurant is very simple, but with taste. the bedinung is always very friendly and very symphatic. we always feel very comfortable at rocus and everyone visits is a gruesome experience. the prices are elevated, but the feelings of happiness that arise through good eating are worth it.
Were four to dinner. we have taken the menu as 4 floor. before the drinks we had already the greeting from the kitchen before us. between every walk about 30 minutes. we always had to order drinks with a lot of print. we were not asked, let alone the one that was automatically presented. teller and the dressing incl. taste was top!
The location is lovingly executed, but the arrangement of the tables in the local as well as on the terrace could be more cozy and fantasy. the service works by being brought and tied away, more also not.Wenig infomation or communication that you expect to be gast. an equally completely missing weinberatung is also not a good style. to eat is to say that has consistently missed salt. a low-wake **** breast, which was served on cold cupboard lenses and mushrooms. spagetti with truffles from Australia were completely taste-free. overall the six common menu has not been able to convince us. three points are too good and two too bad.
I enjoyed a very good evening dinner in a tastefully designed restaurant. As aperitiw I enjoyed a nordés atlantic galician gin with tonic. as an appetizer I ate a burrata - still a rareness in Germany, and as a main course there was a rib-eye steak on the spot fried. the complete food did not have to be refreshed - it was very tasteful. the service was accommodating. the daughter of the house had a small probelm with the handle burrata. for the daughter this was not a problem because she immediately informed herself at her father who cooked the great food

This was probably one of the more unique 2 lunches dining's experiences that I have ever had in one of the oldest railway Station in Germany, just 13 km from Bamberg. At first, I wasn't sure how the lunch was going to go because there was no guest at the beginning, but it turned out to be wonderful. The food is fabulous with great combinations of flavour, first rate ingredients and assured cooking by Markus the owner and Chef. 6 course Lunch Menu for two was around 123 € which wasn't unreasonable for the experience. Service is as good as it gets, and the sommelier Rosa recommended wines at the lower end of the price range, without being asked to, the wine was fantastic and I was able to order by the glass, provided I went with whatever Rosa chose. I liked the atmosphere here, as it wasn't too stuffy and the wait staff (Rosa Team) had a nice personality to them. It was refined, but relaxed. Take the car, train or taxi you should not miss it in your gourmet travel schedule. Thank you Rocus Team we are coming back again.
Following the recommendation from a good friend we have visited the Rocus 3 weeks ago while staying in a Hotel in the nearby city of Bamberg. Given that we are from Hong Kong it´s safe to say that we are Foodies and quite spoiled in that regard. What we experienced at the Rocus was on par with the best experiences we had in Asia which was a very pleasant surpise to us! We opted for the Menu together with Wine from the extensive and rather Spain focused Wine Menu and where not dissapointed as the menu was creative, beautifully presented and of excellent value. Overall a very pleasurable experience we definitely recommend if you like fine dining in an elegant but casual ambiente.
Surprising place it used to be a train station with great food and a winelist to match. Wonderful balance in the dishes. Portions just right and service very forthcoming. And, medium rare is really medium rare just as rare was correctly served rare. Even in good kitchens, this isn’t always a given. Next time we visit family nearby, we will certainly return!
Baunach is about 15 minutes drive from Bamberg, about 45 minutes from Nuremberg. The village itself is worth visiting, I´ve promised myself to come back and do sightseeing. Apart from the scenic and charming Franconian settlement, Restaurant Rocus is THE magnet which draws those who love good food to Baunach time and again. Located in the tastefully converted building of the old station one finds a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. We came back to celebrate yet another birthday. The menu we had was Tatar vom Gelbflossenthunfisch mit Belugalinsen (Tartar of yellowfin tuna with beluga lentils) Schaumsuppe von der Petersilienwurzel mit Avocado und gebratener Wachtelbrust (Cream soup of parsley root with avocado and fried quail breast) Gebratenen Gänsestopfleber mit Aprikose an Membrillo und Joghurtschwamm (Fried foie gras with apricot on Membrillo and yogurt sponge) Mangosorbet mit Estragon und Cava (Mango sorbet with tarragon and Cava) Filet vom iberischen Eichelschwein auf Petersilienwurzelpüree and Trüffelrahmsauce und grünem Spargel (Fillet of Iberian acorn pork on parsley root puree and truffle cream and green asparagus) zwei Kugeln im Obstbeet (two spheres on a bed of berries) The pricing was more than appropriate. We chose the spanish red wine upon recommendation and our trust was well placed. A superbe choice at (again) a reasonable price. The spacing of the courses was delightful. Neither did one feel rushed, nor did hunger pangs make one pray for a hastening in the kitchen. In short words... impeccable service. The composition of the menu was great. Nothing to add. Do go and enjoy your visit. We intend to come back for the next celebration.
It was my 60th. A memorable occasion per so but by having Dinner at Rocus with my family and closest friends it was made memorable under the culinary aspect as well. I can only give you the Menu we had in German, but maybe google translate will help... 1) Geflämmtes Makrelenfilet an Erbsenpüree mit Zitrusvinaigrette 2)Gänsestopfleber gebraten auf karamelisiertem Apfel an Cassisjus mit Joghurtschwamm 3) Zitronengrassüppchen mit Garnelen und Guakamole 4) Kalamansisorbet mit Cava 5) Lammrückenfilet unter Trüffelkruste an Rotweinjus mit Petersilienwurzelpüree und Gemüse 6) Schokoladenvariation Grand Cru mit Oreoerde The price for all these gustatory delights was under 70€ and I thought the money well spent. The selection of wines is delightful and you will get most appropriate recommendations if you may happen to be undecided in your choice. The ambient is classy and out of the ordinary, yet one may feel at ease and soon due to the cordiality of the proprietor rather at home. I have promised myself to eat here again, woon, and I am certain that making your way to Baunach is more than worth the effort. Have fun!

Super food in a cozy atmosphere. The main courses are very good the appetizers a revelation. The goose pot liver is just divine. Always happy
Probably the best kitchen in and around Bamberg! Marcus and Rosa are hosts with heart and passion. He pampered with a kitchen that perfectly combines both sophistication and soilness and simply creates a smile in the face. The fish dishes are excellent! It provides the perfect service and cries wines from your Spanish home. Especially from Cava you can order a second glass.
Very good kitchen at elevated but justified prices. The seating is too tight, although there is enough room in the restaurant. We like to come back.
From the outside a beautifully designed old railway station building. Found over the internet you should preorder if you want to sit in the wine cellar. The operation very nice but for the level of food should be used there even more on labels. That doesn't mean it's bad, but an example on a menu does not bring the cutlery to dinner. Or take a Marini down to the core of the olive? To eat it was tasteful we qualitatively at the highest level the dishes we the submission of tables classic noble.winsus selection very good. Please train staff over the wines. I'd go to dinner right there.
