Umami Japanese Bistro - Baton Rouge

The best sushi I had in baton rouge. I have probably tried 70% of the restaurants in baton rouge for sushi and I am very impressed. the rolls were so fresh. the service was amazing and my friend doesn't even like Brussels sprouts and the appetizer I got that. he ate everything. 10/10 this is my new place.

Eating was excellent, as always. the waiter can have been a bit overwhelmed, even if there were less than 12 tables there were 3 seconds, a barkeeper hostess. So I'm not sure how it happened. it took 2 different severs 20 minutes to get our drinks, then another 15 minutes to take our food order. independent of this, eating was good enough to outweigh the lack of service.

Most beer on the tap were outside, well drinks were flat. I brought this to our waitress and she replaced or removed the flat drink not from our registercard. instead for water. Eat was great, oysters were funny. the heating was possibly outside, several floor heatings were in the dining area.

This is a fabulous place for Japanese cuisine. the sushi and other menu items are fresh and tasty.

Chef inspired experience in a very casual atmosphere. Loved the food and service.
