Rebecca, the bartender, provided excellent service. She took my food order and was very polite, taking care to accommodate my food allergies. The restaurant has a limited menu, but the food was tasty. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sporting News Grill:
I travel frequently for work and am an IHG Diamond Elite member. I recently dined at the sports bar and was surprised to see the owner behind the bar. He seemed to be confused when a customer left after looking at the menu on the table, leading him to assume they were paying in cash. Terrible waitress. it took an hour and 20 minutes to get even an order with only 7 people in the building. I put my order and she forgot. I'll never be back!
We were staying at the holiday inn and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. The food was good (breakfast and dinner). I admit, I wasn't sure what it would be like, but the food was excellent and the beer was cold. I would eat here again if staying in the area.
If I could give a rate of zero I would. What an absolute joke of a “sports bar” The only TV channel with audio broadcast throughout the bar was on MTV! Bar tender was put out that she had to leave the bar and wait on our table. Rolled her eyes when I asked about available draft beers. I can’t remember the last time I encountered such poor waitstaff. I suggest you look elsewhere for a dining or sports bar option.
$9 nacho quality can best be described as an adult lunchables...food tasted like it was microwaved in the back, service was slow, overall I would not recommend.
Worst food and service! Holiday Inn needs to take pointer on restaurants from the Holiday Inn in Effingham, Illinois. Everything there was wonderful.
